Over a long period of time, my wife (an avid sewer) and I (an avid tinker) have collected a diverse collection of vintage all metal sewing machines. They range in styles, from vibrating shuttle, vertical bobbin, horizontal bobbin, oscillating hook, and rotary hook machines. We have Singers, Kenmores, Whites, Necchi’s, and we are trying to add other brands as we can find (or afford).
Some are heirlooms or have great sentimental value, while others are just our attempt to experience different machines. It has really been a great hobby… anyway, peruse the machines in our collection to get a little history on the various makes and models, ranging in manufacture from the 1870’s to the 1970’s.
